Trout in the Classroom kick off with Macroinvertebrate investigation in Swan River testing for water quality. Students in Donna’s advisory suited up in waders to discover what “critters” were hiding beneath the surface.

NLCS students at the Construct Tomorrow event in Eveleth today. The construction industry has seen an employment increase of almost 3% over the last five years according to government statistics.

The Grand Rapids YMCA is hosting a job fair this evening. Perfect jobs for teenagers - fun and rewarding. Starts at 4 pm.
Guest Speaker Sherwin Obey came to help celebrate Indigenous People’s Day sharing song, stories and insight into his culture followed by the movie, Indian Horse today.
The results are in, NLCS has a Maap STARS State Officer, Addison Marrier stands with the other 2022-2023 State Officers chosen by their peers. The conference was a blast and Conri, Ashley and Addison represented NLCS very well! This leadership conference brought out the best in all of the participants. Congratulations Addison!
Students took a trip to Dead-End Hayride. Traditionally this was done prior to running our Haunted House fundraiser. Since we couldn't do our Haunted House anymore we had to keep up this tradition at least!
A few students are at a Fall Leadership Conference at Lake Beauty in Long Prairie where they are interacting with students from 18 different programs from
around the state, while engaging in leadership skills. Best of luck to Addison Marrier as she is a candidate for Maap Stars State Officer! Stay tuned to the results tomorrow.
